System Analysis and Design Proposal

I. Project Overview:

The basis of this project is a inventory system for technology needs at

ACE FENCE CO, which manufacture fencing for the government,

industrial and comercial sectors. Currently all the countability of the

materials, that are used to build the fences, are being manually inserted

into Excel spredsheets. The purpose for this system is to manage,

modify,insert,delete and retrieve data regarding the materials. With the

further implementation of the system is expected to reduce costs,mitigate

errors and provide accurate information about the materials.

II. Business Need:

Current Problem: Information is a vital section of any business.

Therefore is crucial to manage their assets with great precision ,

unfortunately the inventory process is not consistent provokes errors, time

consuming, creates looses and wastes. The inventory system, will provide

the organization the tools to fulfill their tasks, allowing the posibility to

manipulate, insert and take out timely information.

III. System Benefits:

Improved accuracy, errors will be mitigated.

Improved calculation of materials.

Improved utilization of production and materials.

Time savings, with the system every process will be faster.

IV. Estimated Project Duration: 4 months
