Devices:

Keyboard is used to enter text into a word processing

document. Applications where text has to be created rather than
copied. Advantages : Functions keys can be set to perform tasks
or open specific programs nad designed for long repetitive use
and widely available. Disadvantage is Data can only be inputed
as fast as you type.
Numeric Keypad is used in applications where only numeric
data is to be entered. Also for inserting PIN (Personal
Identification Number) for chip and pin credit/debit cards or when
using an ATM to withdraw or check balance. Advantages: Its
simple to use and ideal for banking or mathematical systems.
