The Week Ahead (April 3-6)

Housekeeping

Parent teacher interviews will be held this week

on Thursday evening and Friday afternoon. A
sheet was sent home on Friday for parents to
sign up.
If you are unable to make it this week but would
still like to meet, just send me an email and we
can make arrangements for a different time.
Literacy
In Language arts we are working on reading
groups each day. Reading aloud allows kids to
build on fluency and expression, and reading in a
groups allows them to discuss the book I a more
evaluative way, so their comprehension continues
to build beyond just recalling details. They can
share predictions and opinions, and help one
another to think more deeply about the story.

This week in Math, we will be beginning to look back on outcomes from earlier in the year, such as time, and also
fractions. We are also going to be continuing with adding and subtracting numbers to 10 000. We will use front-
