sunday morning
The Sunday Morning Series originated in Tunisia where the artist took residence after leaving
in1965 his native country Bulgaria as a result of a conflict with the communist government which
ordered for political reasons one of Mihail monumental sculptures erected in the central square
of the capital city Sofia destroyed.

Sunday Morning is the title of a vast body of works: paper constructions, charcoal drawings and
large bronze sculptures.
