NEW WATER, Green Bay, Wisconsin 2008 - 2017


A water reclamation utility serving 231,000 customers in 285 square miles of Northeast Wisconsin. Annual budget of
$39 million with assets and investments totaling more than $400 million.

Director of Business Services


Served as Chief Financial Officer and Business Strategist reporting directly to the Executive Director. Responsible for the
companys profit and loss, capital spending, budget, forecasting, annual audit, strategic planning, and investments of $100
million. Direct management of 15 staff members and the Departments of Accounting, Purchasing, Information Technology,
Public Affairs and Education, and Administrative Services.

Executed financial recovery of annual losses within the organization. Identified problems and necessary changes
in management, and developed and implemented problem-solving strategies, resulting in revenues of $8 million.

Financed $130 million in federal/state revolving funds for Resource Recovery and Electrical Energy (R2E2), the
largest capital project in organizations history.

Secured $21 million in the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act grant funding for merger with the De Pere,
Wisconsin facility.

Introduced Lean manufacturing concepts, resulting in $250,000 in annual savings.

Directed communications campaign to defer spending $223 million on unnecessary capital improvement projects.

Implemented Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
software for risk-based asset program, and managed functionality of assets totaling more than $320 million.

Led rebranding initiative which created increased customer awareness to compliment new strategic focus.

Implemented a new rate methodology for fixed monthly uniform rates to recover annual debt and capital costs.

Built cross-functional team to execute sustainable practices to improve green energy through solar electrical

A corporation comprised of five distinct, individually operating building product manufacturing companies with annual
revenues of $300 million, serving builders, architects, and consumers for more than 25 years of industry-leading design
and craftsmanship.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Responsible for performance and overall internal and external business sales
relationships, strategy, marketing plans, and business development. Accountable for internal business manufacturing
operations, finance, IT, legal, and controls for manufacturing processes of the organization. Managed a staff of six and a
budget of $4 million.

Led strategy for organizations wholesale distribution of building products with national and international clientele.

CHILDRENS HOSPITALS AND CLINICS, Minneapolis, Minnesota 2001 - 2007


One of the largest pediatric healthcare systems in the Midwest, comprised of two hospitals, 12 specialty clinics, and an
ambulatory day surgery center, with annual revenues of $500 million.

Chief Privacy Officer and Business Strategy


Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Medical Officer. Responsible for federal Health Insurance Portability
and Accountability Act and state regulatory compliance. Also accountable for business strategy for established care units
regarding budgeting, monitoring key performance indicators, and physician groups business relationships.

Implemented organization-wide Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act program, resulting in savings of
$3 million.

Led implementation of electronic medical record system to digitalize 250,000 medical records.

Introduced Lean efficiency concepts, providing positive impact on productivity, cost, and services.

Directed Accounts Receivable (A/R) financial management, resulting in a reduction of A/R from 92 to 58 days.

Negotiated non-medical revenue generation through auction bidding of installation of mobile telephone antennas,

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. Responsible for managing legal department staff, a budget of $2 million, 50
outside legal counsel, and firms in 10 states. Served as business development liaison to create ancillary product lines.

Renegotiated 1996 West Coast Federal Catastrophic Disaster claims as a key turnaround initiative. Lead
negotiator and advisor on litigation of property and casualty claims and insurance fraud, resulting in savings of
millions of dollars and avoidance of Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Formed Limited Liability Company which created additional insurance offerings to increase market share through
product diversification, resulting in revenue generation of $5 million.

Led 12-month merger initiative of sister-tiered company into parent. Negotiated Merger and Operating Agreement
with State of California Insurance Commissioner.
