Cashless Economy:Is It The Right Time For Nepal To Step in
Cashless economy has become one of the sought out trend nurtured more after
demonetization in India . Transitions towards cashless economy have occurred in many
economy .
During my visit in Scandinavian region last spring I was quiet socked to see how
seriously these economies are pushing for cashless society. In Stockholm, Sweden
people literally look at you dubiously when you try to pay by cash .Around the capital
we could see some cafs with No cash accepted here tagline. Denmark has already
stopped printing paper notes and are about to completely boycott producing coins from
2016. During my first week as a student in Norway I was already staggered by the bank
receptionist s reply We have no cash when asked for cash withdraw. It was
confusingly frustrating because I was inside largest bank of Norway (DNB) asking to
withdraw some cash which was absolutely normal thing to ask for.
Today these Scandinavian countries are competing to become the first cashless
economy .However Sweden seems to be quiet ahead in the race as its 70 oercent
transection are non cash . The incident of theft in 2009 inspired swedent to go
vigerously into cashless .as per yar the theft was and now it has decreased to just..

These were the countries renowned as the most prosporous amongst all we can learn
the opennesss and flexibility of these economy to embrace such transformation .
Now lets look at the example of so called under developed economy ;Kenya . Kenya is
