QUIZ BEE
Committee Head: Amiel Achico

1. The coverage of the quiz bee includes Architectural Interiors, Building


Technology, Building Utilities, History of Architecture, Professional Practice and
Theory of Architecture.

2. There will be 3 rounds in the competition:

a. Easy

b. Average

c. Difficult

3. Each round shall consist of 10 questions each.

4. Each round shall have the following point allocations for each question:

a. Easy- 1 point each

b. Average- Final Round- 3 points each

c. Difficult- 5 points each

5. A questions time limit shall depend on its difficulty level:

a. Easy- 10 seconds

b. Average- 20 seconds

c. Difficult- 30 seconds

6. If two or more teams have the same number of points after the competition, a
tie- breaker question shall be given. The question shall have a 30 second time
limit. The team who gets the correct answer will automatically declare as the
champion.
7. There shall be 3 members per team (one member per year level- from 1st year to
3rd year).

8. Each team shall write their answers on the appropriate medium given.

9. Any member can answer the question.

10. No gadgets are allowed to be used.

11. Teams can only start answering the question after the second repetition.

12. All questions shall only be read twice.

RENDERING CONTEST
Committee Head: Kim Buenaventura

Criteria:

Artistic Style 30%

Presentation 40%

Mastery of the Medium 30%

Materials:

1. Contestants will each be provided with one (1) 10x15 illustration board and a
copy of the scene to be rendered.

2. If a contestant may opt to use a different canvas, it will be allowed as long as it


fits in the board provided.

3. Contestants will bring their own rendering materials.

Mechanics:

1. The competition will be open to all Architecture students. This is an individual


competition, thus all participants are not allowed to have any help from others.
2. Participants must be able to register before the day or time of the event.

3. Contestants will only be given two and a half (2 ) hours to finish their work. A
five (5) point deduction will be made per fifteen (15) minute delay.

PORTRAIT CONTEST
Committee Head: Ma. Carmelene Aviso

Criteria:

Mastery of the Medium 30%

Resemblance 40%

Artistic Style 30%

Mechanics:

1. Each participants will be given a reference picture provided by the committee.

2. Participants must bring their own drawing materials.

3. The participants are given two and a half (2 ) hours to finish their drawing.

4. The portrait must be in monochromatic. Graphite pencils are the only medium
allowed to be used.
