yesterday for printing. If you ordered a copy we should expect opinion

End of year MAP testing will begin the week after we


return from Spring Break. We will be taking the Language Arts cumulus

test on Friday, April 21 and the Math test the following Friday, stratus

What We are learning this week:
In reading we have been learning about inferencing and theme. We also learned about haiku
poems and will be adding a few to our Poetry Books. In grammar we have been reviewing using a
comma to separate items in a list, t wo adjectives, and in compound sentences. We have also been
learning about homophones and homonyms. In math we have finished our unit on collecting data
and have started learning about 1, 2, and 3 dimensional shapes. In Science we have been talking
about how erosion and weathering play a part in shaping the Earths surface. Tomorrow we will
build a protective barrier on a mock hillside to prevent a landslide from destroying a
neighborhood bellow. In Social Studies we have been reviewing mapping skills and have starting
talking about goods vs ser vices and consumer vs. producer.
