MultiviewProjection

Inanorthographicprojection,theobjectisorientedinsuchawaythatonlytwoofits dimensions
areshown.Thedimensionsobtainedarethetruedimensionsoftheobject.

Frontalplaneofprojection

FrontalplaneofprojectionistheplaneontowhichtheFrontView(FV)ofthemultiviewdrawingis
projected.
Figure 8 illustrates the method of obtaining the Front view of an object. Front view of an object
showsthewidthandheightdimensions.

Horizontalplaneofprojection

Horizontal plane of projection is the plane onto which the Top View of the multiview drawing is
projected and is shownin Figure 9. The Top view of an object shows the width and depth
dimensionsoftheobject.
