Re: Strict Compliance with the CPD credit units

Date: February 9, 2015

1. As discussed by the Board of Accountancy, the rules

prescribed in the Board of Accountancy Resolution 59 Series of
2012 shall be strictly applied for applications received
beginning January 2015. In particular, these shall cover
compliance with the required units for each and every one of
the five thematic areas, and the minimum required number of
60 units which can be earned in the year of application and/or
any of the three years preceding. Other requirements, such as
the three (3) years of meaningful experience and the
prescribed documentation requirements shall also be complied
with. Only applications that fully comply with these
requirements will be submitted to the Board of Accountancy.

2. For applications received prior to January 2015 that are

still pending before the Board of Accountancy and which are
found to be deficient, the Standards and Inspection Division
shall communicate to the applicant the deficiencies for
compliance/completion thereof. In case the deficiency pertains
to the failure to complete the required units in the thematic
areas, the Standards and Inspection Division shall require the
completion of an undertaking/sworn declaration that the
applicant commits to complete the lacking thematic units not
later than June 30, 2015.
