Learning Experience:
1. The infants will be exploring the social skill of simple turn taking. By allowing their
friends to participate in the activity along with them and by them waiting/watching
or sharing, it will be evident that they are bringing the domain 1.3 Simple Turn
Taking into the play (ELECT, 2007, p. 18).
2. Through this activity, infants will also be challenging their fine motor skills by 5.2
Palmar Grasping the musical instruments with one or both hands (ELECT, 2007, p.
32).
Objective:
1. Infants will be exploring the social skill of simple turn taking. By allowing their friends to
participate in the activity along with them and by them waiting/watching or sharing, it will
be evident that they are bringing the domain 1.3 Simple Turn Taking into the play
(ELECT, 2007, p. 18).
2. Through this activity, infants will also be challenging their fine motor skills by 5.2 Palmar
Grasping the musical instruments with one or both hands (ELECT, 2007, p. 32).
3. Communication, language and literacy will be involved through adult-directed song singing.
While infants use the instruments to make noise, the teachers will then direct songs that
the infants are familiar with.
