Entry Guidelines

Guidelines for all entries:

Structures must be tailored toward the canine (dog) persuasion,

constructed to be functional and durable for indoor or outdoor use. All
structures must be complete, without exposed nails or other
materials that will be harmful to animals. 50% of materials used
are to be recycled. Each team will draw for size of dog house to be
built, small or large.

All dog houses and pet furniture weighing over 50 lbs. must include a
base constructed of 3/4 plywood and casters. Please use 3 in.
general duty swivel casters with rubber wheels.

The maximum dimensions are: 30 x 48 x 48 INCLUDING MOVABLE

CASTER BASE. Any projections must fit within these dimensions.

When designing and buying materials for your structure, please keep
in mind that the average auction value is approximately $400.

All entries must be completed and dropped off at the park by

9am, May 20, 2017. Judging will take place a 10am. Entries
will be displayed, judged and then auctioned off at the
Barkitecture festival throughout the day.

Barkitecture San Antonio does not guarantee the return of entries, photographs, or
any material generated for the production of the auction to the entrant. Once
delivered to the drop-off site, all entries will become the property of Barkitecture
San Antonio until they are auctioned and picked up by their buyers. Barkitecture
San Antonio reserves the right to publish and reproduce images of all entries for any
purpose. We encourage entrants to adhere to the durability guidelines to maintain
the desired design aesthetic for exterior or interior display during the course of the
event and incorporate a way to assist our effort to easily and safely transport your
entry. We are not responsible for any damage that may happen to entries during the
display, auction, or transporting of entries. All decisions and awards by Barkitecture
San Antonio and the jury are final. Barkitecture San Antonio reserves the right to
reject any entry for failure to comply with the entry guidelines, and failure to comply
may be grounds for disqualification. Your action of submitting an entry will signify
that you agree to the terms and conditions above.
