0 CONCLUSION
By using the instron machine the stress-strain graph could be plotted for

different materials in separate graphs or in one graph by giving certain command

through the computer software. From this computer interface, all result of testing can

be printed out for external analysis [11].

The use of tensile using instron machine which is fully automated and is used

to supervise testing of material, provides control of the machine, automatic data

collection, analysis and replays the entire test. Using the series, test data can be

produced in form of graph, reports or data file. By this software, users will be able to

perform testing in accordance with national and international standard. Its allow user

to create their own test method, calculation and to customize the test result [11].

The data obtained from the tensile tests describes many mechanical features of

the polymer. The characteristic stress strain curve for thermosetting and elastomeric

polymers is different. There are two main deformation regions in a stress strain curve;

elastic and plastic deformation. From the graph, it is characterized by a linear elastic

region, a yielding followed by a drop in stress, a formation of a neck, a drawing of the

neck, an increase in stress due to straightening of polymer chain, and finally fracture

[12].
