Selected Manufacturing Design

Two design are suggested for the diffusion plate which are omega shape (U-
shaped) and paper clip shape. Omega shape is the standard diffusion plate
which are being used in the current market whereas Paper clip shape is a
proposed alternative for the omega shape by Devex Systems.
Suggested Manufacturing Techniques
One of the best cost effective bulk sheet metal parts manufacturing can be
achieved through Die press. For our design the best techniques would be die
press which is the best alternative for cost cutting. For paper clip shape there is
alternative method of manufacturing through aluminium sheet bending machine.
If this technique implemented, we can achieve only one channel in a single plate
which is not effective as two channel or three channels. This increases the cost of
diffusion plate so for new proposed design also die press is the best
manufacturing technique.

For Omega Shape (U-Shape)
The price mentioned is excluding all the additional costs like freight, TAX.Its a
pure manufacturing cost.
Manufacturing cost for Paper clip shape diffusion plate is same as the omega
shape with extra addition cost of $1200 which will be returned in instalment with
$120 from first order.
