Keynote Speaker - Dr. Linsey Moddelmog All Schools

Dr. Moddelmog has been an Asst. Professor of Political Science at Washburn Universi- Ramada Inn
ty since 2013. At Washburn she teaches a variety of classes in Comparative Politics
and International Relations, but has a special interest in Latin American Politics. She
has traveled to Brazil to study language and culture, and research Brazils electoral sys-
tem. Dr. Moddelmog has also traveled to Nicaragua and Mexico. While in Nicaragua
she visited artisans, factory workers, and coffee growers; and in Juarez, Mexico she 54th Annual TMUN Conference
studied issues related to trade and immigration. A few summers ago she visited Taiwan February 26 and 27, 2018
with an American delegation of young leaders to learn about Taiwanese politics and
culture. Dr. Moddelmog takes great pleasure in leading student study abroad programs
and has taken students to Cuba and Europe. The effect of experiential learning of the
worlds customs, peoples, and politics is immeasurable, as it transforms the mind, Topeka Model United Nations
body, and soul. Her studies and travel have led to her commitment for the promotion
of peace, justice, and development around the world. Dr. Moddelmog is proud to be a Ms. Tracie Lamb, Director
native Kansan and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her two sons and hus- Mr. Soren Lamb, Assistant Director
band on their farm South of Lawrence, Kansas.
