PERSONAL STATEMENT 2
Internet is one of the greatest invention in this century. All things we do in daily
lives can not be separated from using internet. Starting from to find information,
Socializing, shopping, etc. Internet also has become a trend in all societies,
especially children and teenagers. If used correctly, internet can be used to doing
good things like charity. Like two sides of a coin, Internet also have negative
impacts which may endanger the user. The problem is often occurred by using
internet is simply access to pornography by children. This is not good because it
can undermine the morale of the children who wil be a future leader. Moreover, I
live and in countries that uphold the norms of religion. So, pornography is very
sensitive issue to be discussed in my country.
To resolve this issue, certainly needed support from other parties to make
discussions related to this issue. I hope with the help from Cargill, I could join
with other future leaders and together move people in this world to tell the
dangers of pornography to children. Children needs to know that with easy access
pornography by children could attach themselves to free sex that resulted in
sexually transmitted disease such as syphilis. Some people might think that it is
not suitable to be told to children. However, I think it is very important because
world has entered in digital age where any information can be easily obtained as
well as also with access to pornography and we also have to provide information
on how to access the internet content that suitable for them, so that they can using
internet as well as possible.
