and how they relate to one another. In addition, the teacher will help the students
understand the difference between a graph that increases and a graph that decreases.

1. Discuss Homework: ~5 minutes

a. Tell students that this is being graded on completion. However we are still going
to go over it as a learning opportunity which means they should be paying
attention and when they get a question wrong they need to figure out why or ask
about it.
b. Use ELMO to project answers on board. Have students grade their own
homework with a PEN. Read answers aloud. Ask students if they have any
questions and go over any problems they ask about. Have them write their score
at the top of the page. 1 student will pick up and put them on teachers desk.

2. WS. 1.2: 5-10 minutes

a. In their table groups, student will complete WS. 1.2 which is over how to find if a
point is on a line. Remind them that they should be working together which
means no one student should be way ahead of another.
b. Briefly go over this as a class. Have students raise their hand to answer the
questions.
3. Prob. 1.4 in Blue Spiral: ~20 minutes
a. Have students open their blue spiral to pgs. 15 -16. Also have them get their
textbook out and open to pg. 14.
b. Using the table on pg. 14 of the textbook, answer Prob. 1.4 questions with the
class. Ask the students the questions and have them raise their hand to answer.
If participation seems low, get candy out and ask questions for a piece of candy.
c. A3 asks the students to make a graph. Do the graph on the ELMO. Have the
students walk you through how to create a graph.
d. B uses the graph on pg. 15 of their textbook. Continue with asking the questions
and doing as a class.
e. Using the graph, students will create the table for question B2. Have students
walk you through how they would fill it in.

4. Homework Time: ~10 minutes

a. Pass out the homework assignment. Have students work independently until the
bell rings. If they have questions they can come ask the teacher for assistance.
Walk around the room to help students as needed.
b. At this time enter homework grades into the gradebook. Talk to any kids that
didnt turn in assignment and have them fill out a late slip if needed. Grade late
work if time allows.

5. Homework:
a. 1.4 ACE WS
