Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Location: Mashhad, Iran, with frequent field visits

Duration: 1 year with possible extension

Reports to: M&E Hub

vulnerable populations. By partnering with beneficiaries
and communities on the front-lines, RI innovatively
bridges the gap between immediate relief and long-term
community development.

Position Summary: Relief International (RI) is currently recruiting a


Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for a development
program in Iran. The program will work closely with
government and civil society groups.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:

Develop, implement, and manage monitoring and evaluation designs


for the entire program.
Develop quantitative and qualitative indicators with special attention
paid to data sources, collection methods, data quality assessment, and
research design,
Initiate reporting mechanism and manage to provide with the field
periodical and final reports
Work on the lessons learned, Challenges, findings of a project
Plan and supervise work of the M&E staff.
Work closely with the program team to monitor the progress of
program activities and their impact.
Travel within program area to ensure successful performance and
implementation of the program.
Maintain effective communication with RI Project Manager regarding
program implementation.
Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications & requirements:

This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to


achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment.

Minimum three (3) years of experience in design, monitoring and


evaluation methodologies; field-based data collection and analysis
experience;
Experience coordinating M&E of socio-economic projects;
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in
writing;
Masters degree in a relevant field or Bachelors degree with
commensurate work experience;
Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and
strategic planning skills required;
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks
efficiently;
Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong
attention to detail;
Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Ability to think critically
and creatively;
Maintenance of confidentiality at all times;
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
Must be flexible, willing to perform other duties and work irregular
hours.
