Bathyergus

Bathyergus is the genus of dune mole-rats endemic to South Africa.


It contains two species B. janetta, the Namaqua dune mole-rat, Bathyergus
and B. suillus, the Cape dune mole-rat. Temporal range: Middle Pleistocene
to Recent
