Project Title: Researching and Working with the Gulf Sturgeon in the Flint Riverquarium
A. Project Abstract: (Refer to the detailed information located in the proposal/letter of intent)
I have been volunteering at the Flint Riverquarium for over a year. The animals have been very interesting to take care of
and learn about. The gulf sturgeon is one very endearing animal to watch and work with. They are endangered and we
are the reason why. They are very good for the ecosystem and help the other animals survive. By doing a powerpoint on
the sturgeon about why it is important and how we can help it, this project will show how I will research and work with the
sturgeon to learn more about it and try to help the species.

Time Management I always rush to do everything and something always comes up that makes me
put it off.

Speech Speaking in front of people makes me anxious and have panic attacks. I would
like working on this project help me learn to talk to people.

Research I will have to research the sturgeons and learn more about them to be able to
put together my powerpoint

D. Project Justification: This project will expand my knowledge of the animals I work for. It will explain to other people
the importance of the Gulf Sturgeon. It will educate others by explaining what the Sturgeon does to the ecosystem, why it
is going extinct, and how to help it.

help the ecosystem, why it is endangered, and what we can do to help.
