SYSTEM COMPONENTS

 Restraint socket

Stainless steel restraint sockets are permanently installed in

the building faade. The design of the socket can be adapted
to suit the faade design. The sockets are typicaly spaced at 3
Metre centres horizontaly along the faade, and vertically
spaced to meet the requirements stated in BS EN 1808:1999
(shown above). Faade restraint sockets are to be fitted by
the faade contractor at positions specified by Cento. Cento
can free issue faade restraint sockets, or co-ordinate the
design with others.

 Restraint pin

Stainless steel restraint pins are

inserted into the sockets in the
facade adjacent to the cradle. The
restraint pins are then left located
in the facade when the cradle is
lowered. The pins are attached
via a light weight rope to the cradle
suspension ropes.
