Time Instructional Procedures and Strategies
Beginning the Lesson
15min Teacher greets students.
s Teacher review the previous lesson.
Ask them to take out their homework and come to carpet with clipboard.
Checking the answer
- Teacher will ask one student per one question to speak out their answer and tell
the class why he or she got that answer.
- The class will show their thumbs up if their answer is match or thumbs down of
their answer is not match.
- Teacher will correct the answers and explain the class.
- Students will turn in their homework to teacher.

Developing the Lesson


20min Teacher will teach the fractions on the line.
s First, teacher will explain what is number line?
Then, teacher will try to connect the fractions with the numbers on the line.
After that teacher will explain how fractions can plot in the number.
Teacher will connect with previous lesson equivalent fractions.
Then, teacher will draw a number line and give assignment to each student to plot on the
number line; 1) numbers, 2) fractions.
Group Activity Plot fractions or numbers on number line
Teacher will split students into two groups.
The game is teacher will show the fractions on the slide and each of group has to send a
different representor to plot number or fractions on the number line on the whiteboard.
This game will keep playing until last 5 minutes of lesson.
Teacher will pass out worksheet for their homework.
When the time is up for closing, teacher will tell them to pause their working
and teacher will review the lesson again.

Closing the Lesson


*Flashcards
Students will pair up and get flash cards for them and their partner.
5mins In flashcards, there are simple questions about fractions on number line.
Then, student picks a card and gives the answer and other will check his or
her partners answer.
If he or she got wrong answer, the other will correct.
