honored as a Lifetime Member by Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Edition for his outstanding
contributions and achievements in the field of education.

About Michael Lawrence Segreto

Mr. Segreto's 10 years of diverse experience as an educator at Elgin Community College in Elgin,
Illinois, includes five positions: Academic Support Tutor, Academic Support Presenter, Business
Division Substitute Instructor, Office Administration Technology Instructional Center Assistant, and his
current role - Emergency Services Lab Assistant. The Emergency Services department targets fire
science, criminal justice, and public safety training. His contributions and achievements have earned him
nominations for two of Elgin Community College's employee awards - the William Foulkes Service
Award and the Service to Students Award. Mr. Segreto is affiliated with four professional organizations:
the Illinois Business Education Association, the North Central Business Education Association, the
National Business Education Association, and the National Education Association.

Born on May 6 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Mr. Segreto has obtained two associate's degrees from Elgin
Community College - an A.A. in 1994 and an A.A.S. in Accounting in 2006. He earned his bachelor's
degree in Geographic Information Systems from Northern Illinois University in 1998. In his spare time he
enjoys reading non-fiction, watching T.V., traveling, and any other activities that present learning
opportunities.

Mr. Segreto follows Winston Churchill's quote, Never, never, never give up. In August 2014 he
successfully underwent brain surgery after more than 35 years of coping with epilepsy; since then, he has
enjoyed a seizure-free life. He hopes this life-changing occurrence encourages others to never give up on
pursuing their dreams, regardless of the hurdles they are dealt.
