MOSS Conservatory Orchestras (Adults $10/Students $5)
This concert concludes our season with some of the best
maturing youth musicians in the area. Maestro Kirk Trevor
brings members of his conservatory youth ensembles to
the sanctuary to perform a variety of works that will
thrill both young and old. One can only be captivated by
these young musicians who one day will be performing in
concert halls around the world.

Foundation Scholarships Available
The Board of Directors of the Foundation of the Missouri
United Methodist Church in Columbia administers a
scholarship fund. Awards are made to persons who need
financial help while preparing for careers in church-
related vocations. The recipient may attend any school
recognized by the United Methodist Church and by the
Board of Directors of the Foundation of MUMC, Columbia
for educating religious workers. An applicant should have
completed at least two years of college work. Interested
applicants should download an application at www.
moumc.org/scholarships or mail the Foundation of MUMC
Scholarship Committee, 204 S. Ninth St., Columbia, MO
65201-1818. The deadline for all materials is June 15.
UMW Scholarships Available
United Methodist Women are accepting applications for
the UMW Womens Scholarship ($500). Criteria for the
scholarship:
Women who are members or affiliates of MUMC
Must have completed two years of study at an
accredited college or university
Financial need
Must be preparing for a career choice of ministry/
helping profession (teaching, medical-related, etc.)
Must have involvement in church-related or
community activities
Deadline for application: May 31. Scholarship is awarded
no later than July 1. Award will be paid directly to
the college or university designated. Applications are
available in the UMW mailbox in the MUMC office, in
a blue folder marked UMW Scholarship Application.

The last two days for tax prep this season are Monday and
Tuesday from 3-7pm.

More about Ray Buckley

Ray Buckley is the interim Director of the Center
for Native American Spirituality and Christian Study.
Buckley has served The United Methodist Church as
a staff member of The United Methodist Publishing
House, Director of the Native Peoples Communication
Office (UMCom) for nine years, and Director of
Connectional Ministries for the Alaska Missionary
Conference.
Most recently Buckley wrote Hard to Dance with the
Devil on Your Back and contributed to New Dawn
in Beloved community. The author/illustrator of
five books, Buckleys stories, poetry, and art have
appeared in numerous journals, periodicals, books, and
museums.
