THERMAL DRAIN VALVE

FOR SOOT BLOWING STEAM SERVICE

General
The DeZURIK/Copes-Vulcan CV 600 Thermal
Drain Valve replaces traps, strainers and
bypass valves normally used in draining a
soot blowing system for which the blowing
medium is superheated steam. It rounds out
the automation of such a system.

Operating from the temperature of the

blowing steam, it holds that temperature
within a parameter provided by the steam
source. It assures the use of superheated
not saturated steam for blowing and
speeds operation of the soot blowing system,
helping to attain its design conditions.

Used with superheated steam from a proper

source, the Thermal Drain Valve assures only
dry steam for the soot blowing system. Its
proven ability to do so avoids difficulties
from moisture in the blowing steam, cutting
operating and maintenance costs.

critical problems of aligning valve spindle with
the diaphragm. Operating forces are also made
more positive.
