ARTIFACT REFLECTION FORM

Your Name: Michaea Vaughn

Year and Semester: 2015-2016, Semester I
Artifact: AP Lang Rhetorical Analysis
Global Leadership Domain: Recognize Perspectives

In determining the Global Leadership Domain, read the outcomes for each (here) and decide which of the four domains best fits this
artifact. You may decide that an artifact relates to more than one domain; if you do, make sure to write a separate paragraph for
each. Below, write a paragraph reflection below explaining how the artifact matches one or more of the outcomes in the
domain that you selected. Use specifics about each artifactthe process you went through to produce it, the content, and/or how
it affected your thinking and skill development. Make sure you give evidence to show how the artifact demonstrates that you are
becoming proficient in this domain.

Description of how this artifact connects to outcomes in the Global Leadership Domains:
This artifact is my first rhetorical essay I wrote in AP Language and Composition. We didnt have very
much guidance as to what we were supposed to include in an AP level rhetorical analysis because Dr. Marion
wanted to gauge where each student fell when they were graded under the AP rubric. I think this system pushed
me to consider what I was going to include in my essay. After getting feedback on my essay, I studied the AP
rubric to find out where I needed to improve. We had to express the author's perspective on human interaction
with nature while considering ICGAPS. That allowed me to interpret the context, genre, audience, purpose, and
subject of the literature to explain what the author really meant and what influenced that perspective. We also
explain the perspectives of the author, and identify possible influences while synthesizing the information
given.
