Readers,

The issue exploration assignment really taught me many things, mostly time

management and hard work. This was a large assignment and I did it all on my own,

unlike the other people in the class. Granted, I chose to work alone but there were

some assignments that were more difficult than I anticipated. The hardest

assignment was the annotated bibliography. I had to write six different ones for six

different articles. It was tedious and made my whole head hurt. However, I learned

some amazing things from this paper. What I learned best was how to not

procrastinate.

Typically, I am a huge procrastinator. Very much a night-before type student.

However, this issue exploration assignment would have ended in disaster if I kept to

my natural ways. Putting things off as I usually do would have brought so much

more stress this spring semester. I learned how to put things into my calendar and

to make sure to work on my homework every night before I went to bed. I also

learned that I can do everything that a whole group can do. No assignment is too

large that I cannot handle it well no assignment that I have gotten anyway.

I hope these skills stick with me through other classes. I want to keep using

my calendar to keep track of assignments and to prioritize my time. It even helped

me this semester with my other classes. I am counting on the things I learned in this

class to get me through the next 3 years of college.
