InreadingovertheTexasAcademicPerformanceReportforElolfElementarySchool,

the201415datashowstheschoolscorefor3rdgradereadinghigherthanthedistrictandstate

score.Therearemanysectioneightfamiliesinourdistrictaswellasmultifamilyhomes.The

districtsscorewas74%,thestatescore77%whiletheschoolscorewas84%,a10%difference.

Whileevaluatingthedifferencesinscoresbetweenracesthereportreflectedthattwoormore

racesscored100%,Hispanic89%,white83%,andAfricanAmerican71%in3rdgradereading.

Thereadingscoresofthe3rdand5thgradewerehigherthanthe4thand5thgradewritingand

Sciencescores.The4thgradereadingscoresforthecampuswere70%,district73%,andstate

were74%.Thisdatareflectsthatfourthgradeoverallinthedistrictwererightwherethey

neededtobewiththestate.Insomesectionsoftheethnicitygroupsfor4thgradereadingand

writingthereweredashesinplaceofthepercentagescore.Thedashesindicatedthatfor

AmericanIndianandPacificIslandertherewasnooneassessedwithinthisgroup.Wherethere

wereasteriskwithinthedatathisindicatesresultsaremaskedduetosmallnumberstoprotect

studentconfidentiality.

In3rdgrade,ReadingasteriskmarkswereplacedinsteadofascoreforAmericanIndian

andAsianwhichmeansthedatawastoosmallofanumbertocount.Therefore,thestudentdata

waskeptconfidential.The5thgradereadingcampuslevelwas86%,district88%,andstate87%.

Also,in3rdgradethereadingscoreforeconomicallydisadvantagedstudentswas82%.

ThesescoresarecategorizedandreflectedinthereportasSTAARpercentatphasein

SatisfactoryStandardorabove.TherewerenoscoresbeingpresentedforAmericanIndian,

Asian,PacificIslander,SpecialEducation,andELLstudentsin3rdgradereading.TheSTAAR

percentatAdvancedStandardinallgradesandallSubjectsdataforourcampusis11%,district

13%,state16%.

Inreviewingthedata,theSTAARpercentatadvancedstandardallgradesreadingatthecampus

level16%,districtscorewas13%,andstate17%.Thedatadidnotreflectanyscoresforwriting

atElolfElementaryhoweverthedistrictreflects5%,andstate9%.Thesciencescoreoncampus

was8%,district,12%,andstate16%.ThescoresforMetorExceededprogressindicatedthat

ElolfElementaryMetorExceededSTAARscoresinReading,andallsubjects.NoWriting

scoreswerereflectedinthiscategoryortheExceededprogresscategory,tocompareagainstthe

districtorstate.

In2015,theStudentSuccessInitiativeforgrade5Readingreflectedthestudentswho

metPhasein1LevelIIStandardonFirstSTAARAdministration.AtElolfElementarythe

percentwas63%district71%,andstate75%.ThescoreforeconomicallydisadvantagedatElolf

was62%.StudentsrequiringAcceleratedInstructionatthecampuslevelwas37%,29%district,

and25%state.TheSTAARcumulativeMetStandardcampuswas77%,district82%,andstate

84%.ThelastcategoryfortheStudentSuccessInitiativewastheSTAARFailersPromotedby

GradePlacementCommittee.Inthiscategory,ElolfElementarycampuspromotedbygrade

placementcommitteescorewas100%,district91%,andstate92%.Withthisinformationit

clearlyshowsthatElolfElementaryhadthehighestscoreforgradeplacementofstudentsatthe

endofthis2015schoolyear.

ElolfElementaryschoolhasapopulationofprofessionalstaffof89.3%ofthat82%are

teachers,3.6%professionalsupport,5.9%educationalaides,and10.7%campusadministration

(schoolleadership).Ofthisgroup,AfricanAmericanteachersatthecampusmakeup6.6%or3

ofthepopulation.ThedatereflectsthenumberofHispanicteachersas28.7%or13peopleand

thelastgrouprepresentedwasWhiteteachersandtheyrepresent60.2%or27.3teachers.Two

ormoreracesrepresent4.4%or2persons.Throughobservingthedatatherearenootherethnic

populationsrepresentedatElolfElementarySchool.

Lookingatthesexoftheteachersmalesmakeup8.8%or4andfemales91.2%or41.3.

Thelastpartofthestaffinformationtellsabouttheteachersdegreesandyearsofexperience.

Thereportgoesonandrepresentstheaverageteachersalarybyyearsofexperienceandthe

averageactualsalaries.Thisdatawasrepresentedbycampus,district,andstate.Eventhough

thestudentsatElolfparticipatedinafterschoolReadingandMathTutoring,whichreflectsin

theirreadingSTAARscores.BasedonElolfsWritingandSciencescores,asanadministratorI

wouldfocusonWritingandScienceinordertogetthescoresup.
