Ages 12-15

5. How will the learners communicate with each other?

Students will communicate through Skype or WhatsApp

6. What technology tools will the students use?

Camera (on phone or other) to take pictures of evidence of Spanish/English influence,


meme generator, Skype or WhatsApp for communication

7. What technology tools will the instructors use?

Skype/WhatsApp, camera and meme generator to make exemplars, projector to show


exemplars

8. What is the timeline for the project?

2-3 class periods

9. What is expected as the final outcome for student work?

Students will create memes showing the influence of Spanish or English in their own
language. (ie., students from the Spanish speaking country will depict English influence
and US students will depict Spanish influence.) They will share the memes with each
other and complete a discussion based off of their peers work.

10. How will student work be evaluated?

An analytic rubric will evaluate students work
