Video: Do You Know Your ABCs http://www.teachertube.com/video/do-you-know-your-abcs-

38325 Time: 4 min 52 seconds. The video is about teaching the alphabet to a song and saying
words that start with that certain letter of the alphabet.

How will it be used: I will use this video to teach the kids the alphabet letters, sounds and
words associated with that letter by playing it twice. I will play the video and pause it after each
letter to ask the kids questions about the certain letter. I will also quiz them to see if they can
remember what it looks like and if they can draw it out for me, following each little song about
one of the letters from the alphabet. Also, the video shows a picture of the upper and lowercase
letter, so that will also help them recognize the upper and lowercase letters of the alphabet, like
the standard states. Hopefully from practicing with repetition and a song, it would help them
understand the alphabet a little clearer.

Video: Shapes and Colors http://www.teachertube.com/video/shapes-and-colors-61886 Time:

1 minute 47 seconds. This video is about an activity to do to identify the shapes and colors and
organizing the different items based on those categories.

How it will be used: I would use this video to come up with an activity for the kids in my
classroom to work on organizing items based off of their shapes and colors. I would watch prior
to our class time and organize different items and have the children get in groups and work on
this together. This would help their social skills as well as meeting the criteria for the standard
from common core. We would do two different games, one based on organizing the items by
shape and then another doing it based on color and finally doing it based on size. Once they got
the hang of it, we could then name the different shapes of the objects.
