Introductory Approach
Now teacher will introduce topic in front of the class that today we will study about SVO
pattern. First of all teacher will explain that SVO stands for Subject-Verb-Object and this is
the basic pattern of sentence making. Now question arises what comes in Subject, Verb and
Object.
Sentence is defined as two or more words combined together to form a complete sense.
Every sentence has three essential parts like S stands for subject V stands for verb and O
Subject is called doer or the person who performs action as any noun or pronoun like

Object is defined on which action is performed, in this category mostly objective

Note: Sentence always starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop.
Development of Methodology
Teacher will introduce activity in front of the class to grasp their attention. Arrange yourself

Write a subject and an object to complete each sentence.

Activity 2
Write the sentences on board one by one for each column and ask the students for explanation.
Ask the difference between the patterns with examples and clear reasons.

Assign a home task to learners write any five sentences about dinner time at home. They can do it by answering
these questions.
Who were the people who had dinner? Where did they sit to eat?
Did anyone ask for anything? What did they ask for?
