Meeting:20minutes
1. Startthelessonbybringingthestudentsinandhaving
themmeetmeontherug(thespaceinthecenterof
theroom).
2. Haveadiscussionaboutwritingpartners.Thestudents
willbeworkingwithwritingpartnerstorevise,edit,and
expandtheirroughdrafts.
a. Talktothestudentsabouttheirdescriptivearticles-
theyhadstrongideas,butmanylackedsomeofthe
carefuleditingandrevisingtacticsneededto
produceapolishedpieceofwriting
3. Weregoingtoworkonimprovingourrevisingand
editingtactics.
4. DiscussthechartofRevisingvsEditing
a. Revising(theBIGpicture)=ARMS
i. Addwordsandsentences(bedescriptive,

reviewers,editors,andwritingpartners.

cardstoworkyourwaythroughthepiece,making
suggestionsandchangesasneeded.
