Time : 7.00 - 8.00 a.m.

Theme : World of Knowledge

Topic : Unit 12, LITTLE DROPS OF WATER

Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to :

-write the words in simple present tense correctly.

-describe the pictures.

-read and understand the notes given.

-make simple sentences with the notes given.

Learning Outcomes : 1.5, 2.6, 3.4, 3.7, 4.8

Levels : 1.5.1, 2.6.3, 3.4.1, 3.7.3, 4.8.4, 4.8.5

Vocabulary : Dangerous, started, scream, drowning, riverbank, regretted

Teaching Aids : OHP Projector, textbook, sentence strips and worksheets .

Teaching and Learning Procedures

Set Induction (5 minutes)

1. Teacher talks about the weather like today.

2. Get pupils to repeat the sentences.

Procedures (50 minutes)

1. Revise on the previous lesson.

2. Get pupils to read aloud the sentences.

3. Teacher explains on the use of simple present tense.

4. Pupils sit in their groups and discuss the exercise.

5. Teacher guides the pupils to do their exercise.

6. Teacher distributes the worksheets.

7. Teacher explains about running dictation.

8. Get some pupils to describe the pictures.

9. Teacher explains the notes.

10. Call a few pupils to make sentences orally.

11. Teacher puts up the sentences on the board.

12. A representative from each group go around and find the correct sentences for
each picture.

13. The representatives memorise the sentences and go back to their own groups.

14. Pupils write the sentences in the worksheets.

Closure (5 minutes)

Pupils read the jazz chant together.
