Catholic and Proud Truths About Christs Resurrection

The resurrection of Jesus from the dead is the essence of the

Christian faith. If Jesus is not raised from the dead, our preaching
is in vain and we are the most pitiable of men(1 Cor. 15:14). If
the Lord remained dead, then all that we believed in, was all for
nothing! All Christians, in fact, all of us should stop whatever
good that were doing, go home or get a job and forget about the
salvation of souls! Kawawa naman tayo! Buti na lang at totoong
nabuhay ang Panginoon at siya ngayon as nasa kanan ng Amang
Diyos sa langit! There are, however, those who try to discredit the
resurrection by telling people that it is just a myth, a symbol or an
inner subjective experience. But we know for a fact that Jesus was
born and became man, that is historically speaking, was crucified
suffered death, was buried and rose again on the third day, as
mentioned not just in scripture. And so, if Jesus was not raised
from the dead, Christianity is a fraud and a joke! If He did rise
from death, then Christianity is the fullness of Gods revelation
and therefore, Jesus must be the absolute center of our lives and
there should no other!

So what do we learn from the reality of the Resurrection of our

Lord? First, it means that our life in this world is indeed temporary
and that heaven is real! ("After I have gone and prepared a place
for you, I shall come again and take you to me, so that where I
am, you also may be" ( John 14,3). The resurrection of the Lord
Jesus Christ is a confirmation that we are not of this world and He
has prepared a place for us to be with Him forever. The reality of
death is as real as life itself, but because of the resurrection, even
death is temporary and is not the final end of everything as some
claims (that we come into being and die permanently).

With the resurrection of Christ, everything became clear, that

death does not have the final say in human reality and existence!
We no longer live in fear of death, that this life will sooner or later
come to a permanent end. But it was death who came to a halt,
after Paul had encountered the risen Christ, he taunted death:
Where is your sting?(1 Cor. 15:55). And so, in view and in light
of the resurrection, we begin to see this world as a place of
growth and gestation as Christians. To mature toward something
higher, permanent, more splendid as St. Paul said; "So then, if you
are risen with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ
is seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things
that are in heaven, not the things here on earth." -- Colossians
3:1-2

Another lesson that we can learn from the resurrection is that,

Satan knows that his time is up! In his point of view, the image of
the crucified Christ was an image of defeat, that he (Satan) was
victorious because Jesus is on His way to die on the cross. His
death was seen by everyone, those who believed in Him and
those who did not, to make them see that He is indeed dead.
Satan thought that, at last, the world is mine, Jesus is dead and I
can now do anything to Gods most precious creation, man. But
when Jesus rose again on the third day, only then did Satan
realized that the death of the Messiah is the victory the whole of
creation needed and waited for. His pain, our gain! His death is
life for us! His resurrection, our salvation!

And so, once again, to those who looked at the resurrection as a

mere creation of mans mind, as a mere symbol, that is exactly
what Satan wanted you to believe! That Jesus did not rise from
the dead, so that he can easily lead you astray from the truth of
the living Christ. Because hes been threaten by the reality of the
risen Lord!

Lastly, the final lesson of the resurrection is that, salvation is now

open to Jews and Gentiles alike! For, God so loved the world that
he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him may not be
lost, but may have eternal life. God did not send the Son into the
world to condemn the world; instead, through him the world is to
be saved. Jesus became man to reach all of creation, gather us
to Himself and be with Him for eternity. That no matter what or
how big your sins are, the Lord loves you! No matter how often
you stray away from the Lord, He will always be looking for you
and with open arms, He will accept you again, and again, and
again! Make you realize that He is risen and by that, He meant
that He has overcome everythingeven death itself! And so, in
line with this, I want to remind you that the Divine Mercy is
waiting for you! A promise was made by our Lord Jesus Christ to those who
will pray the novena:
Jesus said later to Sister Faustina:

"Say unceasingly this chaplet that I have taught you. Anyone who
says it will receive great Mercy at the hour of death. Priests
will recommend it to sinners as the last hope. Even the most
hardened sinner, if he recites this Chaplet even once, will
receive grace from My Infinite Mercy. I want the whole world to
know My Infinite Mercy. I want to give unimaginable graces to
those who trust in My Mercy...."

"....When they say this Chaplet in the presence of the dying, I

will stand between My Father and the dying person not as the just
judge but as the Merciful Savior".

The date of Divine Mercy Sunday this year, will be on: April 23, 2017. Go
