Animal Cruelty was good.
What is Animal Cruelty?
Animal cruelty is when someone
hurts an animal or does not care for an
animal responsibly, like not giving a dog or
cat food and water. It is against the law to
be cruel to or harm animals, even your
own pets. Its also called animal abuse, or
neglect.
Why Animal Cruelty Immoral?
Animal Cruelty is immoral because it
is wrong to inflict suffering on any
living creature. Intentional cruelty is
a particular concern because it is a
sign of psychological distress and
often indicates that an individual
either has already been a victim of
violence or might be predisposed to
committing acts of violence.
It is immoral because Animal Cruelty
is like any other form of violence.
Opening Prayer
Dear Father,
We thank you for everyone gathered
here now. Thank you that you know each of
us by name and have caused us to walk
with You. We say that we are dependent on
You and our trust is in You completely. As
we surrender ourselves in adoration we ask
that You would come by Your Holy Spirit
and inspire our hearts today. Come fill our
lives with Your love, Fill our conversations
with Your grace and truth, Fill this meeting
with Your presence. We ask this for Your
glory and praise. Amen

Prayers of the faithful
Let our response be: Lord, graciously here
us.
God in whom we trust, save and
protect the animals that are both
witnesses to violence and victims
themselves. Provide them with
caregivers who will love and nurture
them in the midst of being violated
by those they trust. Keep them ever
safe from all harm. Lord, in your
mercy,
God of justice, reveal to us those
who are perpetrators of violence,
those who crave power and control,
yet profess to love their victims.
Help us to hold them accountable
for their actions, and to show them
a better way to live, the way of
surrender to you, the one who alone
holds power, and the one who is
love. Lord, in your mercy.
God of true power, be with all our
systems of justice and those who
have been entrusted with authority
over others. Guide all police officers,
attorneys, judges, lawmakers, and
religious leaders in the decisions
they make and the counsel they
give. Fill them with your compassion
and keep them from abuse of power.

Closing Prayer
Dear Father and Lord of all. Thank
you for our school and everybody who
works and studies in it. We are so grateful
for all the things we have learnt today. Be
with us now as we leave this room. Please
keep us safe and watch over all our
