Special Assistant to the President for International Energy and Environment
The White House

Washington, DC 20500

Dear David,

Cheniere Energy, Inc. is the first American company to export domestically manufactured
liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the lower 4$ states in more than 50 years. Cheniere exported
its first LNG cargo in February 2016 from our facility in Sabine Pass, Louisiana, signaling a new
era in global energy markets.

Chenieres liquefaction projects in Louisiana and Corpus Christi, Texas are some of the largest
construction projects in the United States, representing an investment of approximately $30
billion in domestic energy infrastructure. Cheniere has nearly 1,000 employees and has created
more than 8,000 jobs during construction at our two facilities. In addition to our direct
employment, Cheniere indirectly creates tens of thousands ofjobs across America through nearly
60 manufacturers in 26 states and, as one of the largest buyers of natural gas in the United States,
the promotion of domestic energy production.

There is a global shift to use natural gas in power generation to reduce carbon emissions and
traditional air pollution. Cheniere believes the 2015 Paris Agreement under the United Nations
Framework Convention on Climate Change is a useful instrument for fostering demand for
Americas energy resources and supporting the continued growth of American industry.

After more than a year of selling U.S. manufactured LNG to more than 19 countries across the
world, Cheniere firmly believes that domestic energy companies are better positioned to compete
globally if the United States remains a party to the Paris Agreement. The United States can
leverage competitive advantages in natural gas and energy technology by exporting our clean
and plentiful domestic resource, all while creating American jobs, developing domestic energy
production and infrastructure, growing the U.S. economy, and reducing our trade deficit.
