2.10 he student will- A) count and compare a collection of pennies,
nickels, dimes, and quarters whose total value is $2.00 or less;

and B) correctly use the cent symbol (), dollar symbol ($), and
the decimal point (.).
Activity The activity is held on the Smart Notebook, and the students will
identify which coin is which, such as a penny, quarter, nickel, and
dime. Each slide has a little description of coin. Once you go over the
coins I will then ask them to make the change. For example, slide 6 it
ask them to make 10 cents and they are offered dimes, nickels, and
pennies. Slide 7 ask them to make 25 cents and they are offered
quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies. If I held this in my classroom I
would make it for a few students to come up to the board and show
me different ways they could make the amount.
