Drumtastic Extravaganza Coming to San Marcos


The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department, Texas State Universitys Health and
Human Performance Department, and Special Olympics Texas will host the Drumtastic
Extravaganza on Tuesday, November 15 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the City Park Rec Hall, 170 Charles
Austin Dr.

The event is presented by Dr. Lyn Litchke of Texas State University and Carrie Elkins, MS from
Germany. There will be an interactive demonstration for all abilities that is a multicultural,
creative integration of music, moves, grooves, and drums from around the world.

The Drumtastic Extravaganza is free and has space for up to 200 people. For more information,
