CATS SPRING CAMP 2017 (Pakistan)

Dates: Tuesday 11th April to Monday 17th April 2017

Location: Islamabad & Lahore, Pakistan.

7 day camp focusing on Pakistani culture, traditions,


history, language, sites, food, sports and entertainment.

Camp open for all members of CATS. Note: applications


will not be received from people who are non-members.

Cross cultural experience with participating campers


from 8 different countries including Pakistan.

All members encouraged to apply for the camp.


Program Particulars:
1. The summer camp will comprise of 27 International
members and 18 Pakistani members. (45 members)

2. There will be no quota system for countries. The


selection will take place on merit only.

3. The male to female ratio for camp will be Females: 23


and Males: 22.

4. The cost of the camp will be 150 US $ per International


member and 75 US $ per Pakistani member.

5. Free accommodation for the duration of the camp will be


provided to all 45 members of the camp.

6. Free breakfast, lunch and Dinner will be provided to all


45 members of the camp throughout the duration of the
camp (unless specified for a particular meal in the schedule).
7. Free transportation will be provided to all 45 members of the
camp throughout the duration of the camp and from the airport
to Hotel and return.

8. Free entry passes to all sites, classes and all other activities for
all 45 members of the camp throughout the duration of the
camp.

9. Airline tickets and visa fee if applicable will be borne by the


participants themselves. Laundry & any personal expenditure
will be borne by the participants themselves.

Important Notes:

CATS will issue invitation letters to selected International


members for visa support but cannot guarantee visas.

CATS will not pay for travel insurance. It is the responsibility of


all selected members attending Camp to purchase travel
insurance along with their ticket. CATS will not be held
responsible financially or legally for any..contd
Accidents/illness or unforeseen ailments that occur to any camp
member, throughout the duration of the camp. This includes
Pakistan members and staff as well.

Application form is now available in FB Cats Group and members can


start applying. The deadline for applications is 5 PM (Pakistan Time)
on the 5th of February, 2017. Shortlisting will be done by the 7th of
February (All members). Video/Skype interviews for Pakistan
members will be held on the 8th and 9th of February. Video/Skype
interviews for International members will be held on the 20th and 21st
of February 2017.

Selection Process:

Please note that members will be short listed on a point


weightage system. The criteria of points will be based on the
following.. Academic quality, extracurricular quality, statement
of interest, reference letter, English proficiency and overall
compatibility to a travel and adventure enthusiast.
Those short listed will then be interviewed. Based on a
collective score of previous points and interview points,
the top 45 members will be selected with 5 on the
waiting list.

How to apply:

1. Fill out the complete application form.


2. Attach statement of purpose
3. Attach letter of recommendation from your course
instructor/ ex-course instructor / faculty professor
4. Attach a passport size picture.
5. Attach proof of English proficiency test(s) if taken. As
in test score/result.
6. Attach proof in the form of certificates or letters of
your past achievements.
7. Address the entire application to the Chairman Cats
and write your full name followed by your country
name followed by the word application in the
subject line of your email

Please note that incomplete applications will not be


entertained and will be discarded.
Please note that only short listed members will be
contacted. Those who do not hear from us please do not
bother emailing or trying to contact us for reasons. Your
chance will come automatically in the next camp.
