Module 7: Accessability with Android

(Using Samsung Galaxy S7)

Accessibility Features
for Android
All of the accessibility
features for Android
must be accessed in the
Settings screen.
Once the Settings screen
is open, scroll to the
option Accessibility.
Voice Assistant
1. Tap the Vision option
2. Then tap the Voice
Assistant option
3. Tap the switch to turn
on the Voice Assistant
4. Once it has been turned
on the Voice Assistant
will walk the user
through how to use it.
5. This feature will read
aloud options to users
with limited vision
Screen Zoom and
Font
1. Tap the Vision option
2. Tap the Screen zoom and font
option
3. Font and screen size can then be
adjusted based on the needs of
the user
4. If larger font is needed turn on
the Larger font sizes button
5. Be sure to save all changes by
tapping the Apply button when
you are finished
Mangifier Window
1. Tap the Vision option
2. Turn on the Magnifier
window button
3. This will open a window
that can be dragged
around the screen and
make tapping small links
easier
Hearing Aids
1. Tap the Hearing option
2. Turn on the Hearing
aids button
This feature will improve
the audio for users with
hearing aids.
Assistant Menu
1. Tap the Dexterity and
interaction option
2. Then turn on the
Assistant menu option
3. This will open a menu
that will let users who
have issues swiping on
the screen and pressing
buttons easier access to
these functions.
