The puritans believed that had formed a unique agreement with them.
Puritans had viewed the old testament in scriptures of the salvation of
adam.
Also they had thought if someone was more into the religion puritans said
it was necessary to have a redeem relationship with god. To redeem from
one's sinful condition to maintain salvation from preaching.
The puritans didnt want to break off from the nonconformist church
completely, they mainly just wanted to change.
They failed to change the church but to break away from the church of
england all together pursuing their own beliefs.

Even those who were predestined for salvation could not escape the
tradition of divine law.

Hard work - they wouldnt be sent to hell.

Who are the Puritans?


The Puritans were a group in the 16th and 17th centuries who tried to purify
the Church of England from all Roman Catholic religions.

Died: May 27th, 1564
Puritans believed that belief in Jesus and participation in the sacraments
could not alone affect one's salvation; one cannot choose salvation, for that
is the privilege of God alone.
