BUILDING CONTROL ACT (CAP.

29) OFFENCES & PENALTIES

9 Duties of qualified persons 1. If QP's services are terminated, builder to cease work Any person $50,000 and/or 1 year imprisonment

in accordance with provisions of Building Control Act
and the requirements for structural design and loads
prescribed in the building regulations

4. (a) If QP's services are terminated, to notify CBC and Qualified Person $5,000 and/or 3 months imprisonment
builder within 14 days
(b) Developer to reappoint QP and notify CBC within Developer abd
7 days of appointment
(c) QP to notify CBC if building works suspended Qualified Person abd
more than 3 months
(d) Supply to site supervisor and builder a copy of Qualified Person abd
every plan approved by CBC

16 Registration of accredited checkers 1. Accredited checker (AC) may only undertake work as AC $5,000 and/or 3 months imprisonment
an accredited checker on his own behalf if the value of
the building works is within the prescribed limit.

2. No person to undertake any work required under the Any person abd
Building Control Act or Regulations to be undertaken
by an AC unless he is registered and his registration
has not been suspended or cancelled.
