HEADMASTERS CORNER
It was so nice to see all the children back in
such fine spirits this week and the weather on
Wednesday certainly helped us remember that
this is indeed the Summer Term. Lottie got the
first star of the term for simply skipping into
school with a huge smile on her face; well done
Lottie!
Calendars have now been issued to all children
so please do make sure that you get yours out
of your childs bag. As always we have a very
busy term ahead of us but as mentioned in my
email this week please do make sure that you
place the key dates in your diary. The last day
of term is Saturday 8th July and all children from
Reception to Year 8 are expected to attend,
and all parents are invited. I look forward to
announcing our guest speaker in the near future.
The FOTM AGM is coming up shortly and all
parents are welcome to attend. This year it will
be on Wednesday 3rd May preceded by a Family
Fun Day Sub Committee meeting at 7pm.

Next Tuesday evening Year 8 will be attending
their last Monitors Meal and Meeting. Apart from
discussing the forthcoming exams and so on,
a large part of our discussions will involve the
planning for the end of Exam Week Celebration
on Saturday 10th June. All Year 8 parents will
shortly be receiving their invitations but I hope
that this date is already in your diaries.
Good luck to Dalis Jones in the London Mini
Marathon this Sunday and to any parents who
are taking up the challenge. Coverage starts at
8.30am on BBC 2 and I very much hope that they
will be covering the junior races but rest assured
I will keep you updated via Twitter as the day
goes on!
Finally, well done to Tabitha and Harry Huby who
cycled from Dieppe to Paris over the holidays,
covering 50 miles a day!

a game of cricket
on the evening of
Wednesday 24th May.
I am sure it will be a fun evening so if you
would like to have ago please do let Mr
Symonds know. We have a bag of bats
and pads so please dont worry if you dont

Our congratulations this week go to Old
Tockingtonian, Holly Hill, and her fellow crew
mates who came home to win the annual
Cambridge-Oxford Womens Boat Race.

For the first time since 2012, the womens

team powered through the finish line to claim
victory in 18 minutes, 34 seconds, and with an
impressive 11 length lead! Oxford finished in 19
minutes, five seconds.

between 1997 - 2005.

Mr Perez and Mr Jones have been training hard in preparation for their
24-hour fitness event on Saturday 20th May - 24 different events, each
hour for 24 hours... an incredibly tough fitness challenge that will push
them to their limits!!

They are raising money for The Capella Foundation which helps increase
awareness of medical complications during pregnancy, and raises
funding to support medical research into advanced treatments, as well
as increase support given to parents affected.

They have set themselves a challenging 2,000 fundraising target and
they would like to thank everyone who has donated so generously so far,
the money raised will be going to a fantastic cause. If you would still like to support Mr Jones and
