This document provides a lesson plan for a 5th grade ELA class that uses the online tool Glogster. Students will research the Holocaust using three different sources and compare their accounts. They will present their findings and analysis in a Glogster poster. This allows students to practice organizing, comparing sources, and developing computer skills in an authentic task at LoTi Level 4 for technology integration.

Grade Level: 5th Grade Content Area: ELA Beyond-the-Basic Productivity Tool Used: Glogster Standards Addressed: ELAGSE5RI6: Analyze multiple accounts of the same event or topic, noting important similarities and differences in the point they represent.
Blooms Level of Critical Thinking:
Remembering Understanding Applying Analyzing Evaluating Creating Description of how to implement in the class: Students will be doing research about the Holocaust. They will choose three sources: primary, secondary, and a historical fiction book. Through the process of their research they will compare and contrast the information they receive from each source. Glogster will provide a wonderful opportunity for the students to practice their organizing skills as well as their computer skills. Since Glogster is like an online poster it would be similar to a poster format a student would make for an author study or book report. Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): LoTi Level 4 (Integration) because this task would be student-centered and would allow the learning to be authentic and relevant.
