You may use the ATLAS books on the bookshelf or google You should have 2 maps of Australia On just the map sheet, identify the states and territories and major cities. Locate major heritage and cultural sites and label your map. Eg: Uluru, Great Barrier Reef, Arnhem Land etc. On the 2nd sheet, using google, research what are some of the unique natural features of Australia. Eg: significant landforms, flora and fauna, World Heritage places. Put these headings into your book and write under them. How are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Countries and Places identified? Can you find any significant Aboriginal places and write them onto your map? What are the similarities and differences in the geographical characteristics of my town/city and two other Australian places? (include landscapes, climate, demographics, daily lives). You may need to write this information into your books. Use google to type in: what are Australias cultural and heritage sites. Choose 3 and write down some interesting information you read about. Use BOMs Climate Data Online to obtain the annual average temperature and rainfall data for each place. What can Australians do to protect our unique environments and features?
