y participation in the ERASMUS ka1 project The Best Social Media and

Web Solutions for your Classroom in Dublin was a unique opportunity to

acquire knowledge and specific know-how from good practice, to develop my
own competences in my field and increase the relevance of my teaching, to build
up new contacts/expand my professional network, to gain practical skills relevant
for my current job and professional development , to improve my foreign
language skills, to experiment and develop new learning practices and teaching
methods.I improved my competences in the use of Information and
Communication Technology tools (e.g. computer, internet, virtual collaboration
platforms software, ICT devices etc.)

It was a course created for teachers who wish to learn more about the use of IT
and communication technology in their classrooms.
I took part in small practical group tasks and learnt how to incorporate
technology into my lessons to make them more effective and enjoyable.
Emphasis was placed on the most popular social media (Facebook, Twitter,
Instagram), as well as on new Web platforms such as YouTube, Prezi, Google
apps, Edmodo, Socrative and others among which students can choose
according to their preferences.

I learnt about privacy and the safe use of social media, student versus teacher
roles and digital classroom management.

I learnt how to use social networking platforms and web 2.0 to share work,
create groups, use free resources and apps, and cooperate with others online. As
a result, students and teachers engagement and satisfaction is enhanced.
