To receive credit for this assignment, you will be assessed on your comments and annotations regarding
YOUR PARTNERS work. You are to give appropriate and constructive feedback that helps your partners
writing (content). Do NOT focus on grammar and mechanics here this workshop is to help you and your
partner evaluate your writing to be sure all of the content required is in place and has purpose before we
move onto grammar and mechanics. My expectations are to see an exchange of writing, extended
reflection and analysis on their work, and an engaged dialogue at the end of the process.
Introduction:
Read your partners introduction -- their entire first paragraph. Do not make annotations or markings
simply read. After one complete reading of their introduction, answer the questions below.
Write an H in the left margin next to their Hook. Does their hook engage you as a reader? Why or why
not?
Find your partners Claims in their Thesis statement. (Remember, the Thesis statement can be more than
one sentence.) Write a small C above each Claim.
Please read EACH Body Paragraph as a separate entity and evaluate below. Please place a checkmark ()
next to the items that are successfully completed. If items are not successfully completed, place an X and
circle the problem on their hardcopy. IF THERE ARE ANY SENTENCES THAT DO NOT SERVE AS
EVIDENCE, WARRANTS, OR TRANSITIONS, CROSS THEM OUT.
