within politics. Students will also partake in several polls

Procedure:

1. In the News, Announcements, and Reminders (10 Min) Mr. Holley will examine the
current events and news stories
2. Review Interest Groups (5 Min)- I will briefly review the PowerPoint about Interest
Groups, while also answering any questions students may have
3. Public Opinion and Polling PowerPoint- (15 min)- I will lead the class through a
PowerPoint where students will gain the basic knowledge of polling and public opinion
4. Polling Videos (10-15 min) students will watch several different videos to help
reinforce any new knowledge they gained during the PowerPoint
5. Polling Activity (15 min)- students will take part in several different polling questions
where they use their phones to send in their answers
6. Interest Group Research (Remainder) students will have the remainder of the class
period to work with their interest group team to prepare for the debate on Friday, the 24th
