Pantone, as it is today, was founded in 1962, new jersey united states. It

started as a printing company which manufacture color cards for cosmetic
companies. Lawrence Herbert who had been a part time employee in 1956
took the company private in 1977. In 1963 Herbert created an innovative
system for identifying, matching and communicating colors to solve the
problems associated with producing accurate color matches in the graphic
arts community. Pantone has since expanded its color matching system
concept to other color-critical industries, including digital technology,
fashion, home, plastics, architecture and contract interiors, and paint. Thats
why from designers to manufactures to retailer all are well-know about
PANTONE and trust it for their color accuracy.

COLOR OF THE YEAR:

It happens every year since 2000, usually in fall or December. The color of
the year is announced by the company. The color reflects the current
cultural nature in the following year, the color has historical influenced
trends in all facet of design, architecture, interior dcor, fashion, food and
the list goes on. As 2017 color of the year is GREENERY which signifies a
fresh new beginning of the year, healthier food resolution, and growing
vegetarian trend. The color also shows the growing desire to reconnect with
