    minimum) with specific examples from field notes

    Abstract

    In this internship narrative, I draw my own observations during the internship in three

    different perspectives: me, immigrants, and the US staff. The specific examples

    presented in this internship narrative mainly deal with cross-cultural interactions and

    ESL teaching. A lot of my observations are drawn from my daily working and is

    closely related to my responsibilities in the Welcoming Center for New

    Pennsylvanians. In this internship narrative, I analyze in details the interactions

    among the stated three parties and apply the ICC theories such as communicative

    repertoire to my observations. This internship narrative helps me to deepen my

    comprehensions of ICC theories and have a chance to investigate how real life

    experiences could illustrate the ICC theories.
